PROFESSIONAL OVERVIEW
Over the last 17 years Charlie has built a diverse trial practice.  Charlie worked in Atlanta for the largest law firm in the Southeast and founded a small litigation boutique in Albany, Georgia.  Charlie has represented Fortune 100 companies and obtained a jury verdict on behalf of a prisoner beaten by three prison guards.  Charlie has argued cases before the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, Georgia Court of Appeals and the Georgia Supreme Court and has volunteered to prosecute misdemeanors in county magistrate court.  Charlie has obtained multi-million dollar jury verdicts on behalf of plaintiffs and defense verdicts on behalf of defendants.  Charlie has tried to verdict business disputes, civil rights matters, criminal matters, employment matters and intellectual property matters.  Charlie has been appointed by District Court Judges in the Middle District of Georgia to serve on the Local Rules Advisory Committee and the Planning Committee for the 2016 11th Circuit Judicial Conference and has been appointed by Georgia Governors Sonny Perdue and Nathan Deal to serve on the State Judicial Nominating Commission. 

REPRESENTATIVE MATTERS
• Obtaining a $7,000,000 jury verdict on behalf of client sustaining a brain injury from a fall.
• Obtaining a $1million arbitration award, plus attorney’s fees, on behalf of a physician in a breach of employment contract matter.
• Obtaining a defense verdict in action to enforce noncompetition and term of years employment contract in the medical device industry.
• Obtaining a $2.5 million jury verdict in favor of an entrepreneur in a breach of contract and trademark infringement matter.
• Obtaining a defense jury verdict defending a business owner in a gender discrimination and retaliation case. 
• Obtaining a $1.5 million jury verdict in favor of a college student in a wrongful death action.
• Obtaining a $45,000 jury verdict, plus attorney’s fees, in a Section 1983 case.
• Defeating efforts to enjoin a corporation in trade secret, unfair competition, and usurpation of corporate opportunity matter.
• Successfully defending in a jury trial a corporate defendant in a breach of contract action involving grain sales contracts.
• Trying to verdict a federal criminal matter involving bribery and theft.
• Handling retained and appointed federal criminal cases, negotiating plea agreements, and trying contested sentencing hearings.

ACHIEVEMENTS AND PROFESSIONAL INVOLVEMENT
• Appointed by Governor Sonny Perdue and Governor Nathan Deal to State Judicial Nominating Commission.
